Safety Information:I don't know of any precautions, This is a fairly mild oil. It is good for a lot of things. Oh yeah! One precaution: Do not wear lavender essential oil out in the sun light as it may darken you skin in spots. This applies to all essential oils. Always test in small quantites first and use a carrier oil to dilute is irratation arrises.

The most experience I have had with lavender is on burns. Lavender takes the heat out and helps the healing start immediatly. Lavender helps to avoid scaring.
My little boy put his hand on the stove ad burned the palm real bad. It blistered about 3/4 inch tall. We put lavender essential oil on it and it healed real quick. Now, today, just as I am righting this, he leaned against the gas log fireplace glass. Nice burn on his sholder that we will document here. We added Lavender Essential oil and Peppermint essential oil. Yes, I said peppermint. Even though it can be hot when applied neat, it takes the heat out of a burn.

Real Lavender essential oil will heal the burn. Synthetic or contaminated lavender will make it worse because of the petro chemicals and cutting agents are pollutants.
