Citrivescents essential oil is a great mood lifting oil. It has the fresh smell of citrus fruits and helps to create a happy atmosphere.
Some citrus oils like lemon Oil has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their Positive effects on immune function. In France, Citrus oils have been used for disinfecting the hopsital.
Many dish soaps and other cleansing agents mock the smell of citrus and even claim to have citrus oil in them. They use the citrus as means to convince you to buy their product even with out knowing the real benefit of having the oil in their product. Most just pass it off as a beautiful smell, but did you know that smells DO AFFECT OUR WELL BEING?
However, when we make a similar smell using petrochemicals, these fake smells smell good, but are really poison. Only smell clean, un-cut by chemical oils or you are doing your self more hurt than help. We made banana smell in chemistry class in high school. Some of the kids wanted to taste it because it smelled so good. The teacher said no because the chemicals were
not in the proper proportions to be "safe".
Citrus oils are very effective with cutting grease and anything sticky. My kids stuck some stickers on the wall and I couldn't get them off, so I pulled out the citrivescents essential oil and it took the stickers off right away.
